Nearly 30 years after the Velvet Revolution the Czech ombudsman still receives complaints regarding the return of the property confiscated by the Communist regime. In the past five years, deputy ombudsman Stanislav Krecek dealt with almost 150 of them, on average two a month.

The survey confirms what other both foreign and domestic surveys already showed – that satisfied employees are more effective workers and more loyal to their employers. There is apparently a relation not only between worker satisfaction and flexible work and benefits supporting work-life balance, but also between economic development and the growth of the organisation.
Ombudsman increasingly dealing with social security problems

The total number of complaints delivered in 2017 to the Ombudsman was 8,191. People increasingly turn to the Ombudsman's Office with their problems in the sphere of social security and also number of complaints concerning work and employment increased by 39 percent.
